Description
Abbot's Hut, a stone climbing hut, is a speck in the col between giants on the continental divide in the Canadian Rockies. The scale is difficult to comprehend; it is 2/3 of a vertical mile up the steep scree slope from Lake Oesa to the hut. B&W version.

Powerful image, Steve. Great BW. Love the process which gives it the feeling of an etching. Lovely composition. lf

Thank you, Marion! I climbed that scree slope and spent the night in the stone hut. A tough and unforgettable experience! ~Steve
