Description
Built in the 8th century AD, the famous Indian shore temple sits on the shores of the Bay of Bengal at Mahabalipuram,Tamil Nadu. It is a World Heritage Site. After walking a mile in the Indian Ocean to reach it, we discovered the sand was unbearably hot when walking up to the temple. Fortunately, small boys were selling coconuts, which we quickly bought and smashed so that we could stand on the husks. I figure we are the first to explore a World Heritage Site while shuffling along on coconuts.
