The Milky Way soars above Sauble Beach on Lake Huron on a fine late summer night in southern Ontario. Light becomes especially fascinating on a dark night. Although we could barely see our hand on this moonless night, a 30 sec. exposure reveals and creates all kinds of activity. A night flight out of Toronto and what I think is ISS, the space station, streak through the northern sky as a scooter rider gropes his way along the beach. The strange light bottom right is lens flare from the far too bright for photographers street light. The Big Dipper can be seen just below the flight streaks, although the long exposure reveals so many more stars that it can be difficult to detect here.
